Learning Objectives:

After attending this activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Identify the physical and emotional symptoms associated with massive pubertal breast hypertrophy in adolescent girls and with gynecomastia in adolescent boys.
  • Describe the endocrinologic circumstances in which these two conditions occur.
  • Explain the surgical management of gynecomastia and massive pubertal breast hypertrophy and their expected outcomes.
