Meet the Newest Nurses in the ACH RN Residency Program

RN Nurse Residents - August, 2012

A new group of nurses started their ACH careers last week in the All Children's Pediatric RN Residency Program. The 12-month program provides graduate nurses and/or newly licensed nurses with knowledge, skills and support as they transition from the academic setting to the hospital setting. Upon completion of the residency, the RN is skilled and competent to care for acutely ill infants and children.

"We continue to see a positive response to our residency program,"said Hella Ewing, ACH Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. "We had over a 170 applicants in two days and accepted 10 wonderful new nurses to the ACH family. Each cohort draws the best of the best. We have had great results with the previous cohorts and have high expectations for our future residency cohorts. We appreciate the ACH leadership support for this wonderful program."

New nurses joining the program include:

PICU/Pediatric Medicine - Vanessa Bailey, Marianna Broz, Katie Deemer

CVICU/Pediatric Medicine - Mary Bottaro, Elizabeth Macari, Kimberly Rockmore

NICU - Jacquelyn Antonell, Katherine Glazer

Surgical Neuroscience - Mary Kamin, Megan Murray
