Safe Routes to School and All Children’s Hospital are helping Elementary Schools in Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee and Hillsborough counties celebrate the FIRST national Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 9th (and some schools on Thursday, May 10th). The goal is to remind families of the simple joy of biking to school. In addition, National Bike to School Day gives parents and educators an opportunity to reinforce the importance of bike and pedestrian safety, physical activity, improving air quality, and making sure communities are safe to bike in.
