Louise Burr is the May 2012 Employee of the Month. Louise works as a Patient Relations Coordinator II in Admissions and has been with All Children's since 1998. Louise was recognized for her Service Excellence by the nurses on 8 South who said:
We feel Louise best exemplifies the new All Children's Hospital Service Standards. She always has a smile on her face and a warm greeting for all patients, families, visitors and employees who arrive and leave the Outpatient Care Center (OCC) second floor building. One night when we were leaving late to go home after a busy night that left us drained, Louise called out (as she always does) 'goodnight now and have a great sleep!' We exited the OCC to the night parking garage with the biggest smiles on our faces. Louise has the ability to turn a rainy night into a sunny day. We really feel that it is the 'little' actions that make a difference within the All Children's community. We often will see a family coming through the parking garage for routine labs - stressed from the early hour, traffic and worried about their child's health. All those worries start to diminish after being greeted by Louise Burr. We feel everyone can learn from this exceptional employee and the way she epitomizes our Service Standards.
Louise's Department Director added:
Louise is a perfect example of the All Children's Service Standards. It amazes me how many lives Louise touches and enhances in her daily job duties. I am stopped at least once a week and told that she is the perfect person for the Admissions job. She greets and smiles at everyone and she is a great first contact for our facility.
