Six-year-old Skye from Dunedin was the first patient to take advantage of new cardiology services now being offered at All Children's Outpatient Care, East Lake. The newly renovated facility began offering expanded medical services this past week.
"We were ready to make the drive to St. Pete when we learned that we could see her doctor here," said Skye's mom, Alexxandria. "This is much more convenient for our family."
All Children's Outpatient Care, East Lake brings the same level of quality care provided at All Children's Hospital closer to home for the children of north Pinellas and western Hillsborough counties. The facility provides high-quality medical and rehabilitative services in a convenient and child-friendly outpatient setting.
Established in the East Lake area over 15 years ago to offer developmental and rehabilitative services, the facility has grown from 5,000 to 23,000 sq. ft. Last year, over, 11,000 patients received services at the East Lake center.
The center has also begun offering a variety of diagnostic services, including: X-ray and ultrasound, laboratory collection services, EKG and Holter monitoring, echocardiograms and nutrition. Sports Medicine and Applied Behavior Analysis Services will be added in the near future.
Pediatric subspecialty physicians representing cardiology, endocrinology, plastic surgery, urology, pulmonology and perinatology will see patients at the facility on a rotating basis. Rehabilitative services that include: physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology will continue to be offered at the facility.
"We are excited to have the opportunity to offer these expanded services at our center, said Phyllis Montali, Director of All Children's Outpatient Care, East Lake. "The additional space will allow our staff to better serve existing patients and provide new services to more children in the North Pinellas community."
