The Year in Photos: Looking Back at 2011

All Children's Hospital Year in Photos

In case you had any doubt that 2011 was a busy year for All Children's Hospital, take a look at these images. In addition to providing outstanding care every day, our hospital hosted a wide variety of visitors, including Colbie Caillat, Wayne Brady, Dick Vitale, race car drivers, mermaids and cows, plus players and mascots from the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers and Lightning. Visitors came from as close as City Hall and the Trop and as far away as Scotland and Takamatsu, Japan (St. Pete's sister city).

We came together in April to celebrate our integration with Johns Hopkins Medicine, marking the event with an outdoor celebration and a medical education program led by Dr. Jonathan Ellen, our new Physician-in-Chief.

Patients, families and employees enjoyed events and festivities that included Telethon, Radiothon, a Taste of Pinellas, our Child Life Carnival, Valentine's Day with Mike and Nicole Alstott, Space Camp, our popular Halloween costume parade and the December holiday party. ACH employees were celebrated in the community at awards celebrations, and one of our patients and his parents went to Washington, D.C. to meet with legislators and speak up to support children's hospitals.

Chef Emeril Lagasse came to ACH and spoke to patients and employees who were gathered alongside Zoe's Garden, donated and tended by one of our local celebrity chefs--Tyson Grant. Children and parents enjoyed our rooftop terrace and our new holiday story time and Paws to Read programs in the Family Resource Center. We hope you had a chance to be part of some of these special moments in 2011 and that you'll help ACH make more great memories during the coming year.
