This is National Radiologic Technology Week. The week-long celebration calls attention to the important role medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals at All Children's Hospital play in patient care and health care safety.
The ACH Radiology Department, including the cath lab and the Interventional Radiology Department, is comprised of technologists that specialize in diagnostic radiology, CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, ultrasound and interventional radiology procedures as well as cardiac cath lab procedures.
All of the technologists at All Children's Hospital hold a national certification in their area of specialty. More than 50 technologists work on our main campus and at many of our outpatient locations. These individuals provide patient care with a focus on safety and reducing radiation dosage when possible. Their efforts are supported by our radiologists, clerical staff, and technical assistants.
All Children's is fortunate to have such a talented group of professionals assisting our patients.
