ACH Celebrates Perioperative Nurse Week

All Children's Hospital recognizes our perioperative nurses for their important role and commitment to safe patient care during Perioperative Nurse Week, November 7-13.

As a fundamental member of the surgical team, the perioperative registered nurse works in collaboration with other health care professionals which may include the surgeon, anesthesia provider, surgical assistant, and other assistive personnel in the operating room.

Our perioperative nurses work in the OR, Pre OP, PACU, SPU and PAT units. ACH has approximately 100 RN's within the department. Their educational background includes: MSN, MBA, BSN, BS, ADN and other degrees. Many of  our RN's also hold a certification in their specialty.  All of the perioperative team members work together to provide a safe and healthy environment for our patients. So, this week, we not only celebrate our nurses but our entire perioperative team.

Join us in thanking these outstanding medical professionals for a job well done!
