Sybil Faylo is the October 2011 Employee of the Month. Sybil works as an Audiologist and has been with All Children's since 2001. Sybil was recognized for her Service Excellence by a colleague who said:
Dr. Faylo is among the best audiologists with whom I have worked with during my 58-year career as an audiologist and scientist. Some of my audiology students and colleagues have risen to become professors, Presidents of the Academy of Audiology, authors and lecturers of great merit. None has surpassed Dr. Faylo in either technical clinical skills, perseverance in the face of roadblocks, or willingness to use her allotted time to help patients, families and colleagues.
She epitomizes the family-centered and child-centered care and compassion that is the respect-commanding hallmark of ACH. She has captured the spirit of thoughtful, forward-looking compassionate care for her patients and their families. She is able to quickly understand and empathize with a Mom and Dad's questions and concerns for their child, and thus personifies the Golden Rule. She is very sensitive to the challenges and frustrations that parents must deal with. If I had a hearing impaired child or grandchild, I would want Sybil to be our diagnostician, manager, and counselor. Sybil is a key member of the Audiology team and it's an honor to work with her and the rest of the team.
