Join the Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition and All Children's Hospital at the First Annual Strike Out Asthma event at Sunrise Lanes, located at 6393 9th Street N. in St. Petersburg on Sunday, October 16 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m Admission is $25 and includes three hours of unlimited cosmic bowling, rental shoes, a drink and hot dog. Proceeds from the event will raise funds for the Coalition to address asthma programs at All Children's Hospital and in the community.
Childhood asthma is a significant health issue affecting our community. Nearly 1 in 10 children in the U.S. have asthma. Children miss more days of school every year due to asthma than any other illness. Asthma accounts for 14 million lost days of school annually.
The Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition works to improve children's health. The Coalition brings together concerned parents, medical professionals, health care providers, educators and others who advocate for children and families who deal with asthma daily. This advocacy effort is supported by All Children's Hospital and numerous community partners.
