All Children's Hospital is proud to celebrate National Nurses Week (May 6-12, 2011) and Nurses Day (May 6, 2011) with a variety of activities and events to honor and celebrate our Nurses. This year our theme is "Nurses Trusted to Care." Annually, National Nurses Week begins on May 6, marked as RN Recognition Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession.
Throughout the week, our nurses will enjoy many events, including a Celebration Breakfast, Blessing of the Hands, Panel Discussions and Seminars. The American Nurses Association supports and encourages National Nurses Week recognition programs through state and district nurses associations, other specialty nursing organizations, educational facilities, and independent health care companies and institutions.
Our caring Nurses are such an integral part of the ACH family and we appreciate their dedication and support. We thank them for all they do each and every day for our families and for All Children!
