And the Emmy goes to...

Congratulations to All Children's Creative Services for winning a 2010 Suncoast Regional Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The award-winning video, "Follow Me to the NEW Hospital!" was created to help patients prepare for the move to our new facility in January of 2010. It was featured on WFLA-TV during our annual All Children's Hospital Telethon. The video stars our furry friends from the hospital's Pet Therapy program cast in the roles of patient and family. And a real patient - cancer survivor Mary Lumapas - provided the voice of the "pet patient," Resi the therapy dog.

Emmy statuettes will be awarded to Creative Services employees Ann Miller Baker/Producer, Bill Greene/Videographer, Mike Sexton/Director and to Mary Lumapas as the Voice of Resi. This is the second Suncoast Regional Emmy awarded to All Children's Creative Services Team for its Telethon-related work.

"Follow Me to the NEW Hospital!" was the sole entrant honored in the category of Children/Youth/Teens Programming for 2010. More than 850 videos in 40 categories were submitted for consideration from throughout the state of Florida; major TV markets in Louisiana; Mobile Alabama; Thomasville, Georgia and Puerto Rico. Emmy winners were announced at a gala banquet Saturday December 4th at the Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale.
