Dawn Gross, RN is the DAISY Award Recipient for November, 2010
Dawn Gross, RN is the November, 2010 DAISY Award recipient. Dawn joined ACH in 1987 as an LPN. In 2009, she earned her RN Degree and entered our Versant Program. She is a nurse on 7 South. Last month, Dawn was promoted to RN II.
The DAISY Award is presented monthly to an All Children's Hospital Nurse that has provided extraordinary service to our patients.
The family of a patient recently wrote:
This week, we came in to get our scheduled round of Chemo after not being here for several months. With every admission, we are always a bit frazzled when it comes to BEING IN THE HOSPITAL. But, Nurse Dawn's personality and love for each family is obvious from the minute she walks in the room. She seemed to know exactly what we needed. She is a nurse who always knows just the right words to say to a family so that everyone feels comfortable. We are very thankful for the extraordinary care that she always gives to her patients and families.
