Elizabeth "Beth" Harris, RN is the DAISY Award Recipient for May, 2010
Elizabeth "Beth" Harris, RN is the May, 2010 DAISY Award recipient. Beth received her BSN from the University of Central Florida. She has been an RN for 18 years. She previously worked in NICU and PICU in the Orlando and Chicago areas. She has worked at in the CVICU at All Children's since 1999.

The DAISY Award is presented monthly to an All Children's Hospital Nurse that has provided extraordinary service to our patients.

A co-worker recently wrote:

Beth has been such an inspiration in the CVICU.  She is quietly reserved but is always working so hard behind the scenes whether she is working on our schedules or as charge of our unit.  When it is time to take charge, she knows right when to step up and direct the way or help out where it is needed most.  On any occasion that I happen to work with her I know that I can go to her for any questions and she will either answer it or direct me to the source immediately.  I have seen her work with both parents and children and have observed the very best in professional mannerisms.  She is friendly and encouraging to all staff members.  It has been such a pleasure working with Beth. She is someone who is very deserving of the DAISY Award.

"Beth is extremely compassionate and is well respected by the CVICU team," said Lisa Moore, RN, MSN/MHA, Clinical Manager of the CVICU.  "She is a great role model, demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills, and always has a positive attitude. She leads by example and is well deserving of the Daisy Award!"
