Asthma Coalition Membership Open House

The Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition is hosting a Membership Open House on Tuesday, March 16th at 5:30 pm in All Children’s Outpatient Care Center (OCC).

The Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition brings together concerned parents, medical professionals, health care providers, educators and others to advocate for children and families who deal with asthma daily.  This advocacy effort is supported by All Children’s Hospital and the Pinellas County Health Department.

Anyone interested in knowing more about the Coalition is encouraged to attend this Membership Open House on March 16th at 5:30 PM.  The meeting will be held in the OCC’s first floor Conference Room A/B at 601 5th Street South (get maps and directions). Refreshments will be served.

Childhood asthma is a significant health issue affecting our community:

  • Children miss more days of school every year due to asthma than any other illness
  • Nearly 1 in 10 children in the U.S. have asthma
  • Asthma accounts for 14 million lost days of school missed annually

Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition

The mission of the Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition is to improve the quality of life for children and adolescents with asthma.

To support this mission, the Coalition has established the following goals:

  • To provide education on asthma and asthma management
  • To serve as a link between the community and asthma care and supportive resources
  • To increase school/community management of asthma
  • To utilize asthma data to prioritize coalition goals and activities
  • To build the coalition and increase the diversity of its members
  • To be a catalyst for enhancing activities of other organizations promoting health and well-being of children and adolescents with asthma
