Haitian Ambassador visits Earthquake Victims at ACH

There are two patients remaining at All Children's Hospital who were victims of this month's devastating earthquake in Haiti (two of the original four have been discharged). These patients received an unxpected visit this morning, and some entertainment from a surprising source.

Haiti's ambassador to the United States, Raymond Joseph, was in the Tampa Bay area and dropped by the hospital to visit the patients, offer his support, and to bring a little cheer by playing some music for them. A virtuoso harmonica player, Ambassador Joseph spent a few minutes with each of the patients, expressed his sadness at their injuries, and then played a few traditional anthems on his harmonica for them.

Ambassador Joseph also addressed the All Children's Hospital Legislative Breakfast, a meeting of legislators and healthcare advocates that discussed children's health and other health care issues.
