Family Health & Fitness Classes Announced
The following programs are designed as fun and interactive programs that will encourage children and teens to get involved, gain helpful nutrition and culinary knowledge and do their own personal best to maintain a healthy weight and be more active and fit.

Kohl's Cooks for Kids -Family Cooking Classes

Kids are more likely to try new foods if they play an active role in choosing and preparing them.  Join us for this fun 5-week series offered free to families. Space is limited and registration is required. 

Please call today to RSVP for our class located in Largo at the Anona Methodist Church on Indian Rocks Road.  This session starts January 14th and meets from 6:30pm to 8pm.  Registration is required. 

Additional classes in Largo, St. Petersburg and Hillsborough County will be offered throughout the year.  Please call for additional information. This class is designed for ages 8 and up.

Fit4Allkids- Weight Management and Fitness for Families

All Children's has made a commitment to help address the childhood obesity epidemic.  Fit4Allkids was developed specifically for families wit the goal of helping children adopt and maintain a healthy weight and body size.  This is a fun and interactive 8-week program offered at 3 YMCA locations including, the Greater St. Petersburg YMCA, the Clearwater Sun Coast YMCA and the James P. Gills YMCA located in New Port Richey. 

All winter sessions start the 4th week of January. Physician referral is required for children to participate.
 
This class is designed for children 8 to 12 years old.Program fees include the child plus all family members. Temporary YMCA memberships are also given to our families who participate in the 8-week program.

Fit4Allteens- Weight Management and Fitness

We offer a special 9-week weight management program just for Teens ages 13 to 18 years old.  Teen's work with adolescent experts that will help guide them to do their personal best and reach their own goals for weight loss, weight management and physical activity. 

Classes meet in Largo at the Bardmoor Branch YMCA. The winter session starts January 20th.

To enroll all teens will need a physician referral.  Scholarships are available for those who qualify and temporary YMCA memberships given to all teens who participate.
