Newly Crowned Miss America Katie Stam Visits All Children's Hospital
Katie Stam, crowned Miss America 2009 on January 24th, made her first official public appearance at All Children's Hospital on Tuesday, February 3rd. During her visit, she toured the neonatal intensive care unit and other parts of the hospital. She enjoyed meeting many of our patients and their families. She also participated in some fun activities with the kids, including giving them a chance to try on her famous tiara!
Stam, from Seymour Indiana, was formerly Miss Indiana until winning the Miss America crown. She will serve as the National Goodwill Ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network. She has been in the Tampa Bay Area during this past week participating in a variety of Super Bowl related events.
