Kadie Nice named the DAISY Award winner for October 2007
Congratulations to Kadie Nice, RN on 4 SW who is the first recipient of the DAISY Award, a new recognition program here at All Children's. Kadie was nominated by a patient family who said:
She was someone special who made my son's nights so much more comfortable with her soft voice, kind words and compassion that was much appreciated. She was not only kind and sympathetic to our son, but to myself... explaining things in detail and being there when we needed her. I can't say enough about Kadie, except that she deserves the highest award for her nursing ability. We will never forget her. Our love and thanks go out to her. Kadie, you'll always remain in our hearts.
Kadie received a statuette called "The Healer's Touch," the actual DAISY pin, and a banner that will be hung on her unit for the whole month of her award. Her entire unit on 4 SW was treated to a tasty breakfast of Cinnabons.
