Michelle Gonzalez named the DAISY Award winner for November 2007

Congratulations to Michelle Gonzalez, RN who works in N3. She is the recipient of the DAISY Award for November.

Michelle was nominated a patient's mom whose son was in the NICU for six months and really depended on Michelle for minute-to-minute updates. Mom said:

Michelle always spoke freely and clearly. After the doctor left, she would always make sure that we understood what he/she said and always answered our questions honestly even when the truth was hard to hear. She is confident and that makes her a good nurse. She always had Aiden's best interest at heart. She was always upbeat, yet sensitive to how I was feeling. I have been back to let her see Aiden since our discharge and she still cares so much about him even though he isn't her patient anymore. He recognizes her voice and he really loves her.

On behalf of the entire All Children's staff, thank you Michelle for your dedication to your patients and their families.
