Denise DiPaolo named the DAISY Award winner for December 2007
Congratulations to Denise DiPaolo, RN of 4 NW who is the recipient of the December 2007 DAISY Award. Denise was presented the statuette, "The Healer's Touch" and the actual DAISY pin along with those delicious Cinnabons to share with her unit on Wednesday.
A patient family nominated Denise for this award saying:
I would like to start off by saying I have never seen nurses who have such compassion for their patients. Ms. DiPaolo knew that I was starting to get anxious waiting on my daughter's last doctor to see her so she could be discharged and Denise was so kind and patient with me. I'd admit that I'm not the easiest person to work with when it comes to my daughter. Denise never got overwhelmed with me asking so many questions and I am so grateful for the level of care she showed my daughter. I once saw a plaque that said, ‘nurses are angels on earth'. That quote has never been so true to me as during my stay here the last two days.
