Kay Lawrence named the DAISY Award winner for May 2008
Congratulations to Kay Lawrence, RN who is the May recipient of the DAISY Award. The nomination came from a parent who said:
Kay spotted me in a hallway here at ACH crying because I had been told that my daughter had leukemia and I was alone and shocked because we were awaiting discharge. Kay had never seen me before but saw that I was extremely upset. She took me in her office and stayed and talked to me until I felt better. She was awesome! Her concern was genuine. Her compassion was over the top. I ran into her at the hospital again two months later and she was truly concerned and asked about my daughter. I believe she deserves to be recognized for her excellence.
