All Children's Hospital Welcomes Joel M. Shulkin, MD, MPH, FAAP

Joel M. Shulkin, MD, MPH, FAAP has joined All Children's as a developmental pediatrician. He was a Fellow in DJoel Shulkinevelopmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Developmental-Behavioral Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Boston, and completed his residency in pediatrics at San Antonio Military Pediatric Center. Dr. Shulkin earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and his MPH at Harvard School of Public Health. Among his multiple licenses and certifications: Board Certification in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics. He earned an academic appointment as a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School and served as an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Shulkin's administrative responsibilities have included  Director, Educational & Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS), Spangdahlem Germany; Chief Fellow, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship, Children's Hospital Boston; Director, Birth-3 Clinic, Greenville Health System and Director, International Adoption Clinic, Greenville Health System. He is a member of the American Medical Association and America Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the Council on Adoption, Foster Care, Kinship Care. His numerous awards include Healthcare Provider of the Year 52, MDG, Spangdahlem Air Base Germany, and Meritorious Service Medal, United States Air Force. He has made many presentations, from regional to international, and authored a study titled, "The Changing Landscape of International Adoption and Its Impact on U.S. Families."
