Learn How to be a Clown at Clown Alley - Sat. March 9

Calling all Clowns! It's time for this year's Clown Alley Clown School. Sponsored by All Children's Hospital, the Clown Alley Program has been a tradition in St. Petersburg since 1972. This one-day family event will be held at the All Children's Education & Conference Center (701 4th Street S. in St. Petersburg) on Saturday, March 9 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.)

The Clown Alley School is conducted by Christine Davison, a graduate of the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Clown School. She will teach participants the art of clowning and elements of character definition, make-up, costuming and performance techniques during the one-day school.

Upon graduation, participants will be invited to show off their new skills and ride on the All Children's Clown Alley Float in the Honda Grand Prix Night Parade on March 21 and at the St. Petersburg Santa Parade in December.

Cost for the program is $20 for one family member, plus $10 for each additional family member.  The fee includes lunch and a Clown Alley T-shirt. Make-up and supplies will be available for purchase during the training program.

For more information, contact the Suncoasters office at (727) 821-9888 or visit the Clown Alley web page.
