About Dr. Pallavi Iyer, M.D.
After graduating from The Ohio State University
College of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Iyer
completed her pediatric residency at the University
of South Florida College of Medicine and All Children’s
Hospital. In 2004 she received the Pediatric Resident
Teacher of the Year Award and served as administrative
chief resident.
Dr. Iyer completed her pediatric endocrinology fellowship
at USF and All Children’s Hospital. From July 2009 through
June 2011 she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in
the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
She created and maintained a pediatric endocrine specific
iPAD curriculum for pediatric residents and pediatric endocrine
fellows.
Dr. Iyer is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology
and is a member of both the Endocrine Society
and the Pediatric Endocrine Society. Her clinical and research
interests include diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal
disorders, disorders of growth and pubertal development,
and calcium metabolism. She is a member of the Tampa
Bay Diabetes Society and has served as a physician for the
Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes.
