About Dr. Pallavi Iyer, M.D.
Dr. Pallavi Iyer is the medical director and division chief of the Division of Endocrinology & Diabetes for All Children's Specialty Physicians and All Children's Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine (ACH JHM). She is an instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University and a voluntary clinical assistant professor at University of South Florida (USF), Department of Pediatrics. She enjoys teaching the ACH JHM pediatric residents, USF pediatric residents and medical students.
After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Iyer completed her pediatric residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. From July 2009 through June 2011, she was an assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Iyer is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist and a member of the Endocrine Society, the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association. Her clinical and research interests include diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, disorders of growth and pubertal development, and calcium metabolism.
Dr. Iyer has served as a physician for the Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes. She chairs the All Children's Hospital Glycemic Review Committee, which works to provide continuous review and set standards for evidence-based best practices for control of blood sugars in the inpatient setting. Dr. Iyer is also the chair of the Ethics Committee at ACH JHM. Her passion is to provide excellent pediatric endocrine care both in the inpatient and outpatient care setting.
