About Dr. Beth E. Benson, M.D.
Dr. Benson and Dr. Jeffrey Carlson have been partners since 1988, when they were full-time faculty members with the OB/GYN residency program at Bayfront Medical Center. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago. Since 2001, Dr. Benson has been selected by area physicians for recognition as one of the "Best Doctors."
Dr. Benson is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A longtime member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, Dr. Benson has special expertise in this area. Other clinical interests include menopause management, contraceptive alternatives, including Essure and Implanon, and osteoporosis evaluation, with certification as a Clinical Bone Densitometrist.
