All Children’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine processes more than one million specimens each year. Important services include blood bank, histology, virology, microbiology, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, electron microscopy, endocrine testing, immunoparameters, toxicology, evaluation of drug therapy, and cytometric analysis. The lab is certified by the College of American Pathology.
