Welcome to the All Children's Hospital Guild Evening Branch website. The Evening Branch is comprised of young mothers and working professional women dedicated to raising funds and volunteer service for All Children's Hospital. Many of our members have had personal experiences with using the facilities of All Children's.
The Evening Branch was started seventeen years ago to accommodate those volunteers in the St. Petersburg community who for various reasons could not attend day meetings but wanted to be a part of the Guild. To accomplish this, a new St. Petersburg Branch was formed known as the Evening Branch.
The Evening Branch of the Guild is proud to present the Charity Ball as its main fundraiser each year. In addition to the Ball the Branch also actively holds a Book Sale two to three times a year. Members help bag the books and receive a percentage of the sales over a two day period. Other fundraisers over the years have included Fall Friend raisers and fashion shows.
Charity Ball our signature event is celebrating its 80th year in 2011. It was originally started by some women in the community to help raise funds for charity more than 80 years ago. It then became a fundraiser of the original Crippled Children's Hospital. The Charity Ball has been in St. Petersburg each year with the exception of a few years during World War II. It has rated by TampaBay Illustrated as one of the top 50 events to attend.
The ladies of the All Children's Hospital Guild, Inc. Evening Branch work very hard throughout the year planning this event usually held in January. This year the event will be held January 29, 2011 at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort and Golf Club, 501 5th Avenue NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. You can look forward to appetizers, libations, dinner, live band, dancing, live auction, opportunity baskets and special raffles. You can even have your picture taken by a professional photographer. There is something for everyone including some special live entertainment. The Evening Branch has a reputation of keeping their guests wondering until that evening just what the theme is all about and giving their guests that awe feeling upon entering the ballroom. Come see what it's all about.
