Hematology/Oncology

Our award-winning pediatric Hematology/Oncology program is the only pediatric affiliate of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. We treat children with leukemia, lymphoma and solid malignancies. Our patients have access to the latest clinical trials through our participation in the Children’s Oncology Group as well as clinical research registries for rare pediatric cancers like Wilm’s tumor or retinoblastoma.

Our pediatric cancer program has many resources, including a 25-bed dedicated inpatient hematology-oncology unit, integrated outpatient and inpatient care, an oncology social worker, and regional outpatient services, including outpatient chemotherapy at All Children’s Specialty Care of Tampa, located on Bruce B. Downs Blvd.

In 2004 the program was recognized for its outstanding work by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the nation’s largest professional society of physicians who treat people with cancer.

More information is available in The Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Family Handbook (1.9 MB PDF)

This handbook has been written by members of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) to help you learn about childhood cancer and its treatment. The handbook contains information about resources that are available at All Children's Hospital and in the Tampa Bay area to help you care for your child.
