More Emmys for the All Children's Hospital Creative Services Department
The ACH Creative Services Department has once again been recognized by their professional peers in video production, with Emmy awards from the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).
The educational animated music video "A Chicken Named Mac" produced, written and performed by Creative Services Director Mike Sexton and sung by Richard Jackson was one of two videos honored in the Children/Youth/Teens category. Kevin Riley of Riley Animation and musical collaborator Joel Momberg (former All Children's Foundation Executive Vice President) also share in the awards.
A 2012 Telethon story about NICU graduate Juniper French was among six winners in the highly competitive Human Interest Story category. Creative Services staff Ann Miller (producer) and Bill Greene (videographer/editor) were honored along with Juniper's parents, Tom & Kelley French, whose letter detailing NICU nurse Tracey Hullett's excellent care was the basis for the story.
These are the sixth and seventh Emmy nomination for our Creative Services staff.
A record number of entries were submitted for Emmy consideration from television stations, production companies and facilities like All Children's Creative Services Department in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Puerto Rico. The winners were announced on December 1st at a sold-out gala awards celebration at the Westin Beach Resort and Spa in Ft. Lauderdale
