Notice to Prospective Patients about Vaccines
Our practice believes that vaccinating children and young adults is a crucial step in promoting healthy lives and healthy futures. Routine childhood immunizations have resulted in a tremendous decline in serious infections, disability and death. Unfortunately, life-threatening illnesses like measles, meningitis and pertussis (whooping cough), among others, have become increasingly prevalent in the United States due to deviations from the recommended vaccine schedules. Sadly, a single unvaccinated child within your community or a single unvaccinated passenger on a routine airline flight may expose your child to these highly preventable illnesses. We understand that parents have questions and concerns about certain vaccines, and our pediatricians will be happy to discuss those concerns with you as a new patient.
Our mission is to promote the health of the individual child while also promoting the health of all children. Because failure to follow the recommended childhood vaccine schedule may endanger the health and life of a child, as well as endanger the lives of other individuals with whom the child comes in contact, we strongly encourage all parents to vaccinate their children on time, according to the recommended schedule. Therefore, if you have already decided with absolute certainty that you will not vaccinate your child(ren), we encourage you to find another health care provider who shares your views.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Our Resident Providers
We are committed to training the next generation of pediatricians. Our pediatric residency program brings some of the brightest young doctors from around the world to ACH JHM where our faculty physicians, staff, and patients work together to provide excellent training for our resident physicians. As a teaching hospital and teaching clinic, we are as committed to their education as we are to providing excellent clinical care and advancing the field of pediatrics. As clinic providers, our residents will promote the care of your child in coordination with our faculty physicians. By working with our residents, families not only benefit from our coordinated clinical care but also participate in the development of our future pediatricians.
