As a result of attending this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss techniques of muscle tone assessment in newborns.
  • Identify and localize anatomically a lesion causing hypotonia based on history and exam.
  • Describe spinal muscular atrophy classification pathology, genetics and treatment trials.
