About Dr. Hidekazu Hosono, M.D.Dr. Hosono is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, where he was a volunteer supervisor with the medical school's Student Run Free Clinic. He completed his pediatric residency at Miami Children's Hospital and volunteered with Diabetes Youth Camp for youth and teens with type 1 diabetes. In June 2011, Dr. Hosono completed his pediatric endocrinology fellowship at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. He received a Fellows Development Research Grant in diabetes, obesity and fat cell biology from the Endocrine Fellows Foundation. Dr. Hosono's areas of clinical focus include type 1 and type 2 diabetes in children and teens, growth disorders, and thyroid disease. Dr. Hosono is board certified in pediatrics and board admissible in pediatric endocrinology, and is a member of the Endocrine Society and the Pediatric Endocrine Society. Board Certifications
