You may have heard news reports regarding a cautionary statement from the Food & Drug Administration about an over-the-counter thickening product called SimplyThick. Specifically, there are concerns about its use in formula or breast milk for infants from birth to one year of age and a potential increased risk for a life-threatening condition.
