|Introducing Pocket Doc, a Mobile app for Parents|
What should you do if your child develops a fever, cough, vomiting, rash, sore throat or head injury? What should you do about behavioral issues, from toilet training to teaching responsibility to teenagers? All Children's Hospital is making it easier for parents to find the answers to these questions in a fast, simple and reliable way.
Pocket Doc is the new All Children's Hospital app. It's free and available for your iPhone, Android and via your web browser. Pocket Doc makes life easier for parents by giving them better access to the pediatric information used by professionals around the country. Pocket Doc provides pediatric care guides derived from the telephone protocols used by more than 400 hospital-and health plan-based nurse advice lines and by 90% of pediatric practices. They have been tested on over 150 million symptom calls.
The Symptom Care Guide will help parents make smart decisions on what level of care (if any) is needed and how to provide speedy symptom relief for minor illnesses or injuries that parents can manage on their own. Pocket Doc also includes advice on common behavioral issues, maps and contact information for commonly-consulted programs at All Children's Hospital, an Emergency Room locator, and more features.
