'Super' Family Dances into Finals to Fight Childhood Obesity

The Phayre family of Sarasota is moving and shaking in Primrose Schools' national Family Dance-off to fight childhood obesity by promoting physical activity. Their moves have landed them in the finalist round of the second annual Family Dance-off. All Children's Hospital could receive up to a $30,000 donation if they win!

In order to bring the donation to All Children's Hospital, the Phayre family needs the most votes. Go to their video to vote up to five times a day from March 20-26. Independent judges will select the winner based on the number of votes, creativity, originality and humor of the videos. The winning families will be announced the week of March 28.

"Since he was two, our son Cameron has been going to speech therapy at All Children's Specialty Care in Sarasota, a reason in itself for us to give back to the hospital," said Shelley Phayre. "All Children's has also helped many families in our community, so we did everything we could to make a video that would make them proud."

After receiving promotional materials about the Dance-off from Cameron's school, Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch Town Center, the Phayre family, who own a video production company, did not hesitate to participate in the contest. Cameron sat in the director's seat as he described the entire concept for the video to his parents, which he based on Super Mario Bros.
