Cara Drumm is the March 2011 Employee of the Month. Cara works in Speech Pathology as a Speech Pathologist and has been with All Children's since 2007. A family recognized Cara's Service Excellence saying:
Our son was in a specialized intensive feeding program at All Children's Hospital called Happy Mealtimes. During this time, Cara was our son's Speech and Language Pathologist. Cara possesses exceptional skills and personal qualities that enabled our son to grow beyond our expectations. Moreover, she adeptly worked together with our son's other providers from Happy Mealtimes to provide the best treatment. She was like a graceful dancer artfully using behavioral techniques to increase our son's oral intake after he had been nutritionally dependent on a g-tube for over 11 months. Through her treatment paired with the rest of the Happy Mealtimes providers, our son's oral intake went from less than 1% to over 50% and now includes a range of tastes and textures.
After every session Cara would spend time with us to process how the session went and answer all our questions. When we had concerns or ideas for different approaches she always listened and gave her feedback. Even prior to officially beginning the program, and on times outside the normal business hours, she always made herself available to us. Time and time again she went above and beyond the call of duty. Cara is an outstanding Speech Pathologist and leader in her field.
Cara's Department Director added:
Cara is very modest in the miracles that have happened with the children she has treated. Her knowledge, expertise, interactions and dedication are remarkable.
