|All Children's Wins Prestigious International Creative Award|
How do you get hospitalized children to pay attention to instructions about moving to an entirely new hospital? That was the challenge facing All Children's Hospital and its Creative Services Department as the hospital prepared to move from its 42-year old facility into a brand-new replacement hospital in January 2010.
The solution - casting dogs from the hospital's Pet Therapy Program in the roles of patient, family and visitors - resulted in a video titled "Follow Me to the New Hospital." The hospital's Creative Services Department was solely responsible for the concept, production, taping and editing of the video. It was a huge hit with patients and families. And now it's earned a prestigious Hermes Creative Gold Award.
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. The 2010 Awards announced on April 26 generated over 3,600 entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops and freelancers. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) (www.amcpros.com) administers the program. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals who have entered AMCP competitions. The Advisory Board oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
Winners were selected from 144 categories in seven forms of media and communications efforts - advertising, publications, marketing/branding, integrated marketing, public relations/communications, electronic media and pro bono work.
