|Now THAT's a "First Holiday" Photo!|
Santa and Mrs. Claus paid their annual visit to All Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on Saturday, December 10th. The pair posed with tiny babies like Destiny for photos that families received in a special commemorative card.
Some parents might notice that Mrs. Claus looks very familiar. She's also known as Ellen Lee, a neonatal nurse who has worked at All Children's for two years. She and her husband volunteer for photo duty as a means of sharing some holiday cheer with our patient families.
Other holiday traditions at All Children's Hospital include weekly patient-floor visits by one of several Santa volunteers; huge gift-wrapped bins in the lobby where visitors can drop new, unwrapped toys for children hospitalized over the holidays, and a special Memorial Service on Dec. 18th for families who have experienced the loss of a child in All Children's care during the past year.
