Patricia Sorenson named the DAISY Award winner for April 2008
Congratulations to Patricia "Cookie" Sorenson, RN who has been selected the DAISY Award Winner for April. Cookie works on 3SW and has been with the hospital for 28 years.
Cookie was nominated for this honor by her co-worker for caring for a patient that had multiple problems and was not doing well. Cookie's clinical skills were top-notch, recognizing the child was in distress and she never left the bedside. She was very caring and acted rapidly in a critical situation. She kept a professional demeanor and advocated for the patient and family.
