|Miss St. Petersburg Stops by ACH for a Visit|
"This is the first time I've been to the new hospital and I had the best day," she said. "The kids are adorable and every room we visited had a different view of the city. One girl had her pageant pose down so perfectly that I let her wear my crown. It was such a good experience. I definitely want to come back soon!"
After leaving the hospital, Jenelle headed over to Tropicana Field where she threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Tampa Bay Rays game. She will represent St. Petersburg at the Miss Florida USA pageant on July 13 in Ft. Lauderdale.
Jenelle understands what it's like to be a kid in the hospital. When she was a 14-year-old freshman in high school, she was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the street. The accident left her with a concussion and multiple broken bones. She spent several days in the hospital recovering.
The St. Petersburg native is a graduate of the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School. She has a bachelor's degree in theater from New York University (NYU). When she is not making Miss St. Petersburg appearances, Jenelle performs at Disney World and teaches yoga.
