The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Blood & Marrow Transplantation Welcomes Dr. David Shyr

David Shyr, MDDavid Shyr, M.D. has joined All Children's Specialty Physicians as a member of the Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Blood and Marrow Transplant Program.

Dr. Shyr recently completed a fellowship in pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After graduating from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Dr. Shyr completed his pediatric internship and residency training at the University of California, San Diego, followed by a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Orange County, Orange, CA.

From 2009-2011, Dr. Shyr was a Research Fellow with the Developmental Biology Center of University of California, Irvine. His research fellowship focused on Wnt Signaling Pathway in Tumorigenesis. His research was funded by a $75,000 St. Baldrick's Foundation Fellowship Award. Dr. Shyr is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology.  At All Children's Hospital, his clinical research will be focused on hematopoietic cell transplantation for patients with hemoglobinopathies.
