About Dr. David M. Berman, D.O.
Dr. Berman joined All Children's pediatric infectious disease program in 2001. A graduate of Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami, he completed his pediatric residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Schneider Children's Hospital, a campus of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Berman completed his pediatric infectious disease fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Jackson Medical Center, where he received the University of Miami Fellow Teaching Recognition Award.
In 2009, Dr. Berman was the medical leader for a project on hospital-acquired infections that earned a second place Race for Results Award from the Child Health Corporation of America (a collaborative of children's hospitals). He has received the USF Pediatric Subspecialty Attending of the Year Award and been included in Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Berman is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious disease. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society. Dr. Berman also serves on the Vaccine Advocacy Committee and Clinical Affairs Committee of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society.
His research interests include treatment of bone infections, pediatric fungal infections (International Pediatric Fungal Network) and physician attitudes about immunization.
