iRIS (Integrated Research Information System)

All Children's Hospital's Institutional Review Board and Department of Research Administration have established an all electronic review process.  iRIS^® manages the receipt and the processing of all research protocol applications. 

The suite of web-based modules includes: 

• The Review Board Assistant Module. This is the primary module used by the Institutional Review Board to process all research protocols. From communicating to investigators to review by the Institutional Review Board Committee, the Review Board Assistant Module manages all aspects of human research subject protection review. 
• The Study Assistant Module. This module provides the Investigator with control over every component of research related regulatory responsibilities. This simple control center is where all communications, regulatory forms and submissions, along with other important needs of the research study, can be found.
• The Grants and Contracts Assistant Module. This module is used primarily by the Department of Research Administration to warehouse communication to the Investigator along with other requisite regulatory items.
