Welcome to All Children's Hospital Student Nurse Experience. Our Mission Statement includes you - we strive to provide outstanding service to our students and faculty. Embedded in the mission is a strong commitment to the education of our future work forces - students.
We offer a variety of professional opportunities and special programs for nursing students. As a nursing student, you might already be craving hands-on experience at a highly respected hospital. You may be thinking about where or with which population you want to work after graduation. We welcome nursing students to participate in our observational days or practicum experiences.
At All Children's Hospital, we are a world-class teaching hospital and internationally-recognized leader in pediatric health, we invite nursing students at all stages of learning to explore the "real world" of working in a hospital setting and experience first-hand the challenges and rewards of this career.
The Nursing Affiliate program has been a critical part of the vision of the Department of Nursing for many years and is one way that the organization builds community partnerships and "prepares the nation's future leaders in child health." Within the Nursing Affiliate Program are several key components:
- All Children's partners with schools of nursing throughout the state to provide quality clinical experiences for junior and senior undergraduate students and graduate students at the Master's and Doctoral level.
- All Children's offers observational days for those interested in pediatric nursing or who are unsure if pediatrics is for them.
- Our longstanding tradition of academic partnerships - At the beginning of 2013 there were over 10 nursing schools affiliated with All Children's Hospital. More than 1,000 nursing students have had clinical experiences at our facility.
